Retiring/Consolidating Old Features
Before and After
This is the part where we killed some stuff.
Over the past year, around ~50 people outside of our dev team have tested or subscribed to the app. None of them - literally zero - showed interest in the following features:
- Quantum Search
- Connections
- Workers
- Directives
- Legacy Highlights / Digests / Tags pages
- Analyze Tool
- Code Tool
Rather than pushing people to use things they clearly didn’t want, we axed them and rolled the useful parts into workflows instead.
Less surface area. Less cognitive overhead. More power where it actually gets used.
Major Workflows Upgrade
Recursive Workflows
Digests created by workflows now go through ingest like everything else. That means if:
- Workflow A creates a digest tagged “bananas”
- And there’s a workflow attached to “bananas”
…that workflow runs automatically. And yes, it can keep chaining.
Context Improvements
At each step, the LLM is aware of:
- The original incoming digest
- The outputs of all previous steps
- All retrieved digests from earlier steps
This allows workflows to fully replace enterprise business logic when combined with recursive workflows - it also makes a great content discovery/research system.
Access Control Step (lifted from quantum search)
This lets you add a step where the AI decides whether to:
- Pass the digest forward
- Stop the workflow entirely
- Or run the next step
It acts as a filter/screen without you having to hard-code logic. Just tell the AI what should happen and provide an example or two.
Create Digests Step
You can now tell the AI to create multiple digests in a single step, including how they should be tagged and structured based on the info available.
Retrieve Digests Step (Also lifted from quantum search)
You can practice searches in the vector search tool, then tell the AI to execute those same queries dynamically based on incoming data.
Trigger Explore
Workflows can now trigger Explore jobs.
You can do this manually in the UI first, get it dialed in, then teach the workflow exactly how to do it.
N8N Connector
Nate (our CEO) is a huge n8n fan, so he built a connector.

TL;DR
We removed old features, massively upgraded workflows, expanded our social media presence, and connected Pulse to n8n.
